Ikke-brugerundersøgelse
I en længere årrække har besøgstallene på de danske museer været stigende, men brugerundersøgelsen viser også, at karakteristikken af museets brugere overordnet er den samme. Det er fortsat en uddannet kvinde i halvtredserne. Ligesom det også fortsat er en social ting at gå på museum. Kun 8 pct. går på museum alene. Derfor har vi i år et særskilt fokus på ikke-brugerne. Ikke-brugerne har tidligere været i fokus, men for 2018 er deres profil, vurderinger af og motivationer for museumsbesøg undersøgt indgående med særligt fokus på de kortuddannede ikke-brugere.

Hvad er deres oplevelser? Hvilke barrierer står i vejen for at gå på museum? Og hvilke ting kunne gøre, at de ville besøge museerne oftere? Det er opsigtsvækkende læsning, som fordrer nye diskussioner af museernes relevans for hele den danske befolkning. Hverken bruger- eller ikke-brugerundersøgelsen giver dog alle svar. Svarene skal vi finde sammen. Ikke desto mindre udgør de et væsentligt fundament for at forstå og værdsætte museernes aktuelle og potentielle brugere. Et fundament vi bliver nødt til at forholde os til, så museerne fortsat er relevante og efterspurgte.

Nærværende publikation præsenterer resultaterne af brugerundersøgelsen på de statslige og statsanerkendte museer for 2017. Brugerundersøgelsen for 2017 er gennemført af Slots- og Kulturstyrelsen med Rambøll og Seismonaut som operatører. Brugerundersøgelsen er blevet gennemført siden 2009 og giver viden om, hvem museernes brugere er, hvordan de bruger museerne, samt deres vurdering af museerne. Dertil er der i forbindelse med årets brugerundersøgelse gennemført en særskilt undersøgelse af ikke-brugere af museer. Foruden årsrapporten med de samlede resultater har hvert deltagende museum modtaget en individuel rapport med resultaterne for den enkelte institution eller det undersøgte besøgssted. Museerne har hele tiden adgang til deres resultater digitalt. Det gør det muligt for museerne at sammenligne sig med andre museers resultater og identifcere områder, hvor de kan lære af andre museers praksis. Foruden museer er denne undersøgelse henvendt til politiske beslutningstagere, embedsværket, uddannelses- og forskningsinstitutioner samt borgere og journalister.
