Hvordan finder du din inspiration?
Jeg finder inspiration i de udenlandske
magasiner. Andre gange sidder jeg flere
timer og søger på alt muligt på nettet,
bl.a. på fotografers hjemmesider, og der
får jeg ofte nye spændende sider og god
inspiration. Jeg rejser også ofte og bliver
inspireret af at kigge på mennesker og
undersøge forskellige kulturer. Det kan
være meget interessant bare at være en
flue på væggen og observere folk.
Har du en særlig måde at arbejde på?
Hvis jeg skal beskrive min stil, så er jeg
nok meget teknisk. Jeg kan bedst lide, at
mit arbejde er fejlfrit og rent i udtrykket.
Når det er sagt, så kan jeg også godt lide
at være mere abstrakt, f.eks. til beautyfotos. Der elsker jeg at lege med makeup
på en anden måde, så jeg kan få et andet
udtryk frem end det, der normalt forventes. Jeg kan godt lide at tviste en idé, så
hele udtrykket bliver mere kunstnerisk
end decideret brugbart.
Hvor lang tid bruger du normalt på en
model?
Hvis jeg skal lave makeup på en model
til kommercielle billeder, dvs. en såkaldt
”almindelig makeup”, så tager det ca. en
time. Er det til beauty-foto, kan det tage
helt op til tre timer. Det kommer an på,
hvor detaljeret makeuppen skal være.
Hvad drømmer du om at opnå arbejdsmæssigt?
Arbejdsmæssigt drømmer jeg om at få
det hele til at gå op i en højere enhed.
Både kreativt og økonomisk. Det er
ikke altid, det lige hænger sammen. Jeg
glæder mig til den dag, hvor jeg kan leve
af at lave f.eks. beauty-kampagner og kun
lave alt det, jeg synes er sjovt.
Hvor meget arbejder du?
Det er utroligt forskelligt, hvor meget
jeg arbejder. Nogle måneder arbejder
jeg konstant, også weekend og aftener,
og andre gange kan der være en hel uge,
hvor der ikke er jobs. Det svinger virkelig
meget.
Som regel er det altid lange dage, når
jeg arbejder. Man kan aldrig lave faste
aftaler med mig, da jeg aldrig helt ved,
hvornår jeg er færdig på job. Jeg har
heldigvis en meget forstående kæreste,
som er i samme branche (han er fotograf,
red.), og søde venner, som kender til min
situation.
